At Allen Company, we want to arm you with information as you use our products, so we include warning labels on our products where applicable. The warning label(s) you may see on your products depend on the type of product. It could be a safety or instructional label to help you understand how or when to use your product. In other cases, you might see the Prop 65 warning label. This is a warning label that is required to be in compliance with the California Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, also known as Proposition 65. Under that statute, any product that is sold in the State of California and contains a chemical that the State of California has determined cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm are required to carry such a label. The fact that one of our products carries this label does not mean it is unsafe. On the contrary, all of our products, when used as intended, are safe, and they all meet or exceed safety and performance industry standards. Nevertheless, some may contain small, some minuscule, amounts of a chemical that can be found on the State of California’s Proposition 65 list. For more information regarding Proposition 65, including the 900+ chemicals on its list, please read more here: https://www.p65warnings.ca.gov/
